POLICE say they have identified the body of a man found in Dingwall.

The man was found around 11.50am on Sunday on mudflats near the Ferry Road picnic area.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

Inspector Richard Ross said: “We have identified the man and his next of kin has been made aware.

“We are grateful to everyone who helped our enquiries following our earlier appeal for information.”
