A man has died after falling in the Torridon mountain in Wester Ross, Police Scotland has confirmed

A man died while walking in the Torridon mountains.

POLICE have confirmed that a man died yesterday while climbing in the Torridon area.

The man, who has not been named, was 37-years-old and was attended to by Torridon Mountain Rescue team.

A police spokeswoman said: "We received a report that a 37-year-old man fell while walking.

"He was located at 4.25pm.

"He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"A report has been made to the procurator fiscal."
