Invergordon attack prompts police appeal

POLICE have issued an appeal for information after a reported attack in an Easter Ross town.

The incident happened at around 6pm on Friday when a female was delivering takeaway food to a property in Ord Terrace in Invergordon.

Police said in a statement issued today that on returning to her vehicle, she was approached from behind by two youths, one of whom attempted to grab her mobile phone from her hand, before throwing it to the ground and causing it to break.

The suspects are described as being dressed in dark hooded tops. One youth had dark jogging bottoms with a white strip down the leg and the other youth had grey jogging bottoms.

Police said the victim believes at least one of the suspects were male.

Anone with information orwho saw anything suspicious is asked to contact Alness Police Station on 101, quoting incident number NE/1461/20.
