THE disappearance of a vehicle from a Wester Ross village is being probed by police.

The car was reported as stolen from a street in Ullapool but later found dumped in a local quarry.

Police are now appealing for information about the incident which took place between 9pm on Thursday, November 21 and 9am on Friday, November 22.

The grey Nissan Almera, registration number SB05 GXN, was taken from Argyle Street in Ullapool, police say.

Anyone with information should can call Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference NE5061 or alternatively tip-off Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
