Police Scotland seeking to trace 19-year-old missing from Badiguish

UPDATE: Missing Aviemore man is found

Police Scotland are seeking the the public’s assistance in trying to trace a 19-year-old male, missing from Aviemore.

Austin De Souza, was last seen in Badiguish, near Aviemore around 4pm on Thursday, 12 October, 2023. He is believed to be wearing a black baseball cap, blue raincoat and tracksuit trousers.

Austin is from Aberdeen and he was on a trip to an outdoor centre in Badiguish. He failed to return to the centre and was reported missing to police. Extensive enquiries are under way to locate him with resources such as the dog unit being used.

Sergeant Dale Hanson said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Austin and everyone wants to know he is safe and well. I would urge anyone who may have seen him or who may have information as to where he has gone to get in touch with us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 3082 of 12 October, 2023.
