Police are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision on the A82 at the weekend.

It happened on Saturday in the Spean Bridge area close to the Letterfinlay Lodge Hotel shortly before 5:20pm and involved a black BMW.

The 36-year-old driver was taken to Belford Hospital in Fort William with serious injuries and was later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow.

A 41-year-old passenger was taken to Belford Hospital and later released.

PC Malcolm Cameron from Fort William Road Policing Unit said: “Our enquiries into this collision are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have witnessed it and has not yet spoken to police to come forward.

“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dash-cam footage that may help with our enquiries
