Plenty of choice at latest Dingwall Accordion and Fiddle Club gathering

Chairman Hamish MacLennan welcomed a capacity audience to the club's November musical evening.

Graham Wilson made a welcome return, starting the evening with two sets on his piano accordion.

Next was Hamish MacDougall on his two row button box, with Graham (second accordion), Susie Simpson (keyboard), Gillian Stevenson (fiddle) and Michael Chisholm (drums). This group played some well known pipe marches.

Dennis Hurst from Munlochy, on his first visit to the club, had plenty audience participation with his singalong sets before Monica MacLean and Georgie MacLennan, along with Maggie Jamieson on drums, from the Rogart area, performed.

They were joined on stage by Susie and Gillian then Frankie Fraser (accordion) and Christine Matheson (keyboard) took the night up to guest artiste time.

Guests for the evening were the popular Ewan Galloway Trio.

Ewan is an accomplished accordion player and popular dance band leader.

He was joined on stage by another well kent face in the music world, Bill Ewan on keyboard. Completing the line up was excellent drummer Ian Graham.

They played a great variety of music which was warmly appreciated by the attentive audience.

After the break, it was the turn of the InverRoss Group with Donna Dingwall, Frankie Fraser and Christine Matheson (accordions) and Peter Angus (drums). Susie Simpson accompanied the group on keyboard.

The Ewan Galloway Trio completed the evening with another selection of music.
