Peat & Diesel shared a heartfelt goodbye to the Ironworks at last night's show.
The popular Western Isles trio organised a last-minute gig there after hearing the news that the Inverness venue was closing down.
The beloved music venue is having its final shows as it will soon be closed and the building will make way for a hotel. The band were selling their “One last session” t-shirts which had a massive building towering over the Ironworks.

Accordion player Innes Scott shared his heartfelt goodbye to the music venue calling it “one of the best places they have ever played at''. He went on to say he loved it so much that “if we manage to make enough money from our gigs we might just build our own Ironworks”.
Throughout the night they joked about how unplanned the gig was that they didn’t even have a set list so what did they play? “We’ll just play what we want,” Innes remarked.
While Calum ‘Boydie’ Macleod would change guitars they would continue joking about how unorganised they were since their equipment wasn’t even ready.
To end a brilliant night they made their final goodbye speech thanking everyone for their continued support and their gratitude to the Ironworks staff but when they went off stage the crowd started chanting to demand one last tune. Peat & Diesel were more than happy to answer.
They finished off with their songs My Island and Country Boy. Their final words of the night: “Thank you to the Ironworks for supporting us and for many magical nights here that we will never forget”.
On social media afterwards, the band stated: "Thank you Inverness and Ironworks Venue – that was special!
"Massive thanks to The Laurettes for joining us for one last Horo-gheallaidh in this venue. Big love and thanks to Wee Studio, Wallace and Limelight Event Services and all the staff of the Ironworks. Seamless as always.
