CUBS from Ross-shire got the chance to learn about the lifesaving work of the RNLI during a visit to their base at North Kessock.

Children from the 1st Conon Bridge and Maryburgh Cubs popped into the RNLI's Kessock Bridge at the entrance to the Beauly Firth last week for a tour of the site and tips on staying safe near water.

"The children learnt about what we do at the RNLI and how to keep themselves, and their friends safe when near the water," said an RNLI spokesperson.

"After the talk they had a tour of the station and got to see our boat and tractor before the very special moment for us and Maddison, who took her Cub Scout promise in the boat shed beside the lifeboat! This is definitely a first for us here at Kessock.

"Thanks again to the cubs and leaders and thank you for your donation which will go towards helping us to continue to save lives at sea."
