A STRICTLY Inverness contestant was skating to success as she hosted an ice disco, raising nearly £900.
Carly Fraser, partnered in the charity dance competition with Scott Crichton, hosted the event last Friday as part of her commitment to raising funds for the Inverness Ice Centre and Highland Hospice.
As well as a chance to enjoy tunes provided by a top DJ, those attending the disco also had the chance to take part in a range of games, a raffle and a tombola.
The 38-year-old, from Inverness, works as cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic and only got involved in Strictly Inverness after being persuaded to step in for someone else, but now says she is enjoying it enormously.
“It was fabulous,” she said of the ice disco.
“It engaged with all the kids and it went down so well. We were pretty much at full capacity and I couldn’t have asked for a better night.
“I loved seeing all the kids at the end. The DJ had them doing dances like the cha cha slide. It was really positive!”
Ms Fraser is on the board of the ice centre and has been a keen skater for a number of years.
