THERE was a terrific result recorded at Ross County Football Club in Dingwall last weekend – just not on the field of play!

An eagerly anticipated ladies day offered a chance for friends to enjoy some of the club's legendary hospitality – and some singing and dancing – while raising money for a worthy cause.

The beneficiary of this season's Ladies' Day was the Archie Foundation which has helped to transform the children's unit at Raigmore Hospital.

An impressive 126 tickets were sold for the event which coincided with Ross County's home clash against Motherwell.

The Dingwall club said: "This year we are raising funds for the Archie Foundation, who have been in the Highlands for over 10 years and in that time have made some truly wonderful transformations to the Highland Children’s Unit at Raigmore Hospital and support is needed to allow the charity to continually succeed."
