CHILDREN from an Easter Ross primary school ventured into a local wood last week bearing gifts for some other regular visitors there.

The whole of Kiltearn Primary School, including the nursery, paid a visit to Evanton Community Wood.

The children had prepared fatballs for the birds and hung them on some small conifers.

Evanton Community Wood honorary secretary Adrian Clark said: "They all drank hot chocolate and had fun in the adventure play area."
