PICTURES: Joyful Big Spring Sing raises £2537 for Haven Centre in Highland capital

Singers of all ages entertained a packed Highland venue for a fundraising concert.
The annual Big Spring Sing took place at Smithton Church for the Elsie Normington Foundation which is behind the development of the Haven Centre for young people with complex needs.
It featured the Merkinch-based Singing For Pleasure group, the Rainbow Singers comprising adults with learning disabilities, the Children’s Gaelic Choir, Smithton Sing and Sign and Songbirds.
The music was led by Elsie Normington who said the evening had been a great success, raising £2537.
“There was a very happy and joyous atmosphere as each group shared their songs,” she said.
“A wide range of folks attended – family and friends from all walks of life.”
She thanked Rev Alasdair MacLeod of Smithton Church for hosting it and all the volunteers who helped on the night.
