A colourful new-look has been unveiled at Glenmorangie Distillery’s visitor centre to coincide with the start of the 2024 tourist season.

The shop, tasting rooms and museum have been restyled with a stylish Technicolor look that pays homage to the distillery’s whisky flavours as well as act as a nod to its whimsical brand icon, the giraffe.

As part of the revamp, the site is set to also host a new marquee from late spring onwards that will cater for “evening hosting and special events”.

Among the changes are a “Technicolour tented ceiling” in the shop, which has been styled with the brand’s hallmark “orangie” colour, as well as “molten” copper lighting and teal effects.

Elsewhere, the tasting rooms have been restyled in “bright, bold hues” with one said to “stunningly reflect the tranquil woodland” that surrounds the distillery’s water source, the Tarlogie Springs, and the other paying homage to the oak casks used in the distillery’s whisky-making process.

Meanwhile, the museum which guides visitors through Glenmorangie’s 180-year history now features “bright accessories and multi-coloured carpets” as well.

Glenmorangie’s president and CEO, Caspar MacRae, said: “These bold enhancements to our visitor experience make the Glenmorangie Distillery an even more delicious destination for visitors from across the globe. We look forward to welcoming whisky lovers old and new to explore our beautiful Highland surroundings, meet our crackerjack crew of whisky makers and taste our wondrous single malt.”

Russell Sage said: “The distillery is a very special place in the Glenmorangie story and home to its wonderful world of whisky making. Our vision was to respect and retain the history and patina of the place, while reinterpreting that story through a contemporary Glenmorangie lens. We aimed to transform the current spaces with the same playful imagination and innovation for which Glenmorangie is known and loved, creating rooms of joy and inspiration, to surprise and delight all who visit.”
