AN exhibition of stunning images that helps keep a Ross-shire town on the map of photographers across the country is opening to the public next week.

The Dingwall National Projected Image Exhibition takes place at Castle Street Church on Monday, January 8.

Dingwall Camera Club has run a National Exhibition for 45 years. The latest was judged in October by a panel of three judges from an entry of 5225 images – an all-time record. The Ostrich Family Outing by Jim Biscoe was the top image accepted from a Dingwall Camera Club member.

All images belong to the individual photographers and are published here with permission of Dingwall Camera Club.

The club’s Joyce White said: “The exhibition is important for keeping Dingwall on the national photographers’ map and also contributes financially towards the upkeep of the Dingwall Club – allowing the annual membership subscription to be maintained at a very reasonable £30. This year, the club was able to donate £500 from exhibition profits to the Disabled Photographers’ Society.”

The club is keen to attract new members and is planning a series of workshops to be run by current president Mark Janes from Tain.
