PICTURES: Highland fans rock out at Monsterfest as Ironworks hosts showcase
The delayed third Monsterfest brought almost 20 bands to Inverness last week with two main nights of rock at the Ironworks the focus for local and visiting fans.
Organiser Mark Allison said: “We did quite a few satellite events this year. We had Those Damn Crows from Wales on the Wednesday night at the Ironworks, and they did an HMV in-store appearance, on Thursday there was a whisky tasting event and a Bad Actress gig at the Tooth & Claw and we had an acoustic session and book launch with Marco Mendoza on Sunday afternoon in the Rose Street Foundry.
“All those events were either sold out or very well-attended.
“Returning this year, it’s been a case of ‘Let’s get through it’ and plan ahead for next year,” Mark said.
though Mark confirmed there would be a delay until the Ironworks’ future is clear.
