Eden Court's first Peter Pan panto audience of 2022 touches down at theatre as season begins

Eden Court raised the curtain on this year’s panto Peter Pan on Wednesday with audience members flocking in to be the first to catch the new show and an evening promising sparkle, fun and laughs galore.

The much-loved story of JM Barrie’s Peter Pan – the boy who never grew up – transports the Darling children to Neverland to help fight Peter’s deadly enemy Captain Hook.

Panto dame Steven Wren is back as Mrs McSmee with his comedy partner Ross Allan as Starkey.

Joining them are Reece Duncan as Peter, Lorenza Michelucci-Dunn as Wendy, Laura Blair as Tinker Bell and Scott Ainslie as Captain Hook and Brianna Jolly as Rainbow.

They will be joined on stage by Claire Darcy – also the production’s choreographer – Reuben Woolard, Jessie-Jae Davis, Jamie Armour, Sophie Scott and Louis Gould.

Plus for the first time since the pandemic, local children perform in the junior ensemble with some of them also sharing the roles of John and Michael Darling over the run of the production.

Peter Pan is just over two hours including a 20-minute interval.

Peter Pan continues till January 8.
