PUPILS temporarily housed in a Ross-shire secondary school stepped up to the challenge of their festive performance.

Pupils from Park Primary in Invergordon were delighted to celebrate Christmas with a 'Baarmy Bethlehem' Nativity, a winter fayre and other activities for all the school to enjoy.

Gillian Sproule, principal teacher at Park Primary, said: "It was so lovely to be able to welcome parents into the school for a live performance after Covid. Last year, we had to record our Nativity and share it with parents after and the year before, we couldn’t do one at all due to restrictions so it was a great feeling to be able to do it properly again. We also made use of our location at the Academy and performed in the Academy assembly hall which was nerve-racking for the pupils but they were absolute stars and they filled the space with their wonderful singing!

"We also had our annual Winter Fayre in the assembly hall and it was great to be able to bring that back again as the previous two years, it has been an online fayre. We didn’t expect it to be so busy and we were overwhelmed by the support from our families."
