A CHARITY dog show organised for the first time in Ross-shire was a great fundraising success.

The first edition of the Dingwall Doggie Daunder, organised last weekend by charity Marie Curie, saw 45 dogs parading on the street of Ross City.

Raising around £1000 for the charity, the event was almost a sold out, and chances are there will be more waggy tails on parade for the cause in the future.

"We are absolutely delighted with the attendance," said Jillian Walker, community fundraiser for Marie Curie.

"The show went really well, we had 45 dogs registering in total and almost reached our limit of 50, which was great.

"We definitely want to make this an annual event, and hopefully it will grow bigger and bigger each year."

The afternoon started with a parade on the High Street and continued with a tog show at Ross County Football Club’s car park, with stalls and catering van set up for the day.

Prizes on the day went to the pooches with the waggiest tail, the best attitude, and the smiliest face.

Graeme Swanson of Conanvet was the judge on the day.
