A PERFECT day for a parade of pooches has helped delighted organisers raise more than £4000 for an animal charity.
More than 120 dog owners, and around 150 of their furry friends, flocked to North Kessock on Saturday for a special dog parade and show in the village.
Munlochy Animal Aid were holding the event to mark their 45th anniversary.
And it was such a huge success that they're thinking it may become an annual fixture going forward.
The charity's Iona Nicol said: "We're very pleased. It really is a fantastic sum. This is the first year we've done a dog parade so it was a trial run and the public really enjoyed it, so we'll do it again next year.
"We had 150 dogs in the parade – it was amazing.
"Everybody seemed to love it. It was a great day. Everyone was smiling – obviously the sun brought an extra bonus to the whole thing.
"Every dog that was there was a winner as far as I was concerned."
She also praised the six people who acted as judges on the day, which included representatives from Fettes Sawmill, Rhona from Bella's Bargains and three people from Lifescan.
"They did a super job. They just made it a really nice fun occasion," added Iona.
