JUST under 100 people danced the night away in Dingwall to help a local Strictly Inverness competitor raise a remarkable £3100.
Ailsa Campbell, who lives just outside Conon Bridge, is competing in the area’s answer to the mega-popular TV series as a tribute to her parents.
She has completed a money-generating challenge for Highland Hospice each year since the heartbreaking deaths of Morag and Brian MacLeod within weeks of each other at the start of the pandemic.

She dubbed the event at Dingwall’s Legion club Morag’s March in memory of her mum with the Going for Gold theme encouraging revellers to dress up in their finest for the occasion.
Ailsa, who was earlier helped by Ben Wyvis Primary pupils - and a pal dressed as Pikachu - to pull in around £1500 through a 5K run – said of Morag’s March: “It was lovely having members of my family there. It’s a commitment but I am loving it. It’s such a worthy cause that you just want to raise as much as you can.”
She next has a wine-tasting fundraiser in Maryburgh’s Cottage Bar on Saturday (March 23) and her husband has a charity football event lined up for March 30.
