THE support of a local community for the new owners of an historic Ross-shire hotel was repaid with a special family fun day.

Owner David Whiteford is determined to bring similar events to the refurbished historic local hotel in the future. He said: “We feel like it was a great success and everyone, of all ages, said they really enjoyed themselves. It was just to give something back to these guys who have given so much to us so far since we reopened.

“We’re really grateful to everyone who supported us locally and we’ll continue to strive to bring events like this to the village in the future.”

The hotel building had deteriorated badly after falling into decline under past owners before closure.

Mr Whiteford and partner Joseph have breathed new life into the venture and been repaid with rooms fully booked for the last five weeks and trade looking promising for the remainder of the season and beyond.
