A chance for small businesses to meet with their customers was one of the benefits of an open air market held last Saturday and Sunday.

Exclusively Highlands held its second market at Wildwoodz near Munlochy, and saw 48 exhibitors each day welcome thousands of customers.

Organiser Kirsty Stewart (30) said it allowed businesses to meet customers face to face after months of only being able to chat online.

Ms Stewart said: "It was a great event and some car parking issues from our first event were sorted out for this one. I think having the day over two days and introducing a special priority hour for those who needed a bit more time to get around the market was good for everyone."

Ms Stewart continued: "And the weather was even on our side, aside from two or three sprinkles the first day we had lovely weather. The heavens only opened as exhibitors were packing up to go home."

Ms Stewart, who is the social media and promotions manager for Exclusively Highlands, said there was a new layout for the second event. She said: "We spent a lot of time developing more parking paces and a new layout for the exhibitors. We had 48 exhibitors each day, with five that were with us for only one of the two days.

"It was a good opportunity for exhibitors to get their names out there and allow customers to find out all about what is available."

Exclusively Highland hope to hold another event in October.
