Activities including a dog agility demonstration from pupil support assistant Mrs Val MacAskill, beat the goalie and a bouncy castle ensured lots to do and see.

The school’s Lucy Moseley said: “Invitations were sent to former members of staff, some of whom came along to join in the celebrations.

“We re-wrote the words to Summer of 69 and renamed it Summer of ’74. The whole school sang this at the opening of Springfest which was opened by the Lord Lieutenant, Joanie Whiteford.”

The total raised is still being totted up but a funding page can be found at https://www.gofundme.com/f/coulhills-50th-birthday-present

Ms Mosley added: “Thank you so much to all the families and members of the public who came along on the day to make Springfest and our sponsored walk happen. We had an amazing day and are so grateful for all the support.”
