ALMOST 1000 people grabbed the chance to take in an art exhibition in Ross-shire with scores of the paintings on show being snapped up.

The Strathpeffer Pavilion Art Fair has become an annual favourite in Ross-shire and its return to the venue was greeted by visitors from far and wide.

It got a worldwide platform too thanks to a virtual showing that allowed people to view and buy from wherever they were.

Some 968 people visited over three days despite one of the evenings being cut short because of Storm Arwen.

A High Life Highland spokesperson said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported our art fair this year.

“From the very talented artists and the very kind volunteers and staff who
helped us throughout the week to the wonderful buyers who visited us in person and bought online.

“We’d also like to thank Red Poppy Catering and HLH musicians for making the preview evening so enjoyable.”

There were 68 sales over the weekend.
