A whopping £10,000 has been raised for cancer care charity Maggie’s Highlands after a hugely successful ladies night in Inverness.
Simpsons Garden Centre played host to its ever-popular annual Festive Ladies Night – with 300 women flocking to the ticket-only event.
The evening, which marked the event’s 10th year, raised £10,000 and took the total generated for Maggie’s since Simpsons first started running the evenings to a stunning £60,000.
Siobhan MacBean, marketing manager at Simpsons Garden Centre, said: “We were so delighted to welcome the 300 ladies who supported our 10th Festive Ladies Night for Maggie’s. There was such a brilliant atmosphere on the night with everyone in fine spirits throughout the evening!
“It’s a busy time of year for everyone, so by having an evening where everyone can relax, have a pamper, shop and enjoy chatting with friends – as well as support such an important local charity – is a great way to start the festive season.
“We’re unbelievably thankful to our suppliers and the local businesses that so generously supported the event; providing welcome drinks to raffle prizes and food sampling to items for our goody bags.
“Raising £10,000 on the night now takes our total raised from this event over the last 10 years to £60,000. The whole team at Simpsons are proud to support the vital work done by Maggie’s Highlands, who play such an important role in the local community.”
