PICTURE FLASHBACK: Woodzstock weathers sunshine and rain on Black Isle
The Woodzstock festival last Saturday weathered sunshine, rain and at times a nip in the air.
But luckily the all-ages crowd barely noticed as they threw themselves into dancing like no-one was watching, from the moment re-formed Inverness The Whiskys opened the main stage at 2pm.
Just before that, the Haybarn Stage, sponsored for the first time by the Liam Colgan Music Fund had showcased young finalists in the charity's talent competition.
Later, winner Rhoehaisse Taylor performed Half In Love there, the song that won her the John Preston Songwriter award and only her third live gig.
"I felt nervous, but once I start I feel a different person," Roehaisse said, revealing Woodzstock have asked her back to play next year.
Talking of next year, Charlotte Stewart, who with her husband Dave Elliot, runs Woodzstock said: "We'll be looking at the June date and possibly going back to having it in August as we did before Covid, it would be warmer, though we were so lucky with the weather this year. But we will decide over the weekend."
Acts included Goldie Lookin' Chain, The Complete Stone Roses, Sandi Thom, Caithness band Forgetting The Future and from Inverness, Ashley And The Cosmonauts, The Whiskys, and in the Haybarn Amy Paparinsky, DJs Jazz Fink and, originally from Caithness, rapper The Vandal.
"I think Ross did exceptionally well organising all the music and everything else.
