A HOST of vehicles from years gone by converged on the Black Isle on a rain-lashed Saturday afternoon for the 19th Fortrose & Rosemarkie Classic Vehicle Rally.
The King George V Park in Fortrose was the rallying point after an initial meet-up at Dingwall Mart.
Participants were aiming to enjoy an hour's scenic drive to the show venue – though how much scenery they were able to enjoy torrential conditions is open to debate.
Spirits were high, however, in Fortrose as vehicle owners had the chance to meet and greet each other as well as members of the public who were keen to find out more about the array of vehicles on show.

Sales, stalls and local produce offerings rounded out the day, along with entertainment at the event courtesy of Step in Style dancers from Inverness and the Norcon Pipe Band.
One event attendee said: "It was a great day despite the weather with good company and good cars. Thanks to the organisers for making the effort under challenging conditions."
The rally was started in 2003 and has brought pleasure to enthusiasts from across the Highlands and beyond down the years.
