As we're facing a very different festive season this year, we decided to take a look back at seasonal pictures and stories from years gone by way of a countdown to Christmas.

We'll be sharing something every day so keep an eye open for faces you may know. Who knows? You may even spot yourself in one of the pictures we publish.

Feel free to share our Christmas Countdown articles on social media and don't forget to like, share, retweet and tag your friends.

Day 3– A group of Tain Royal Academy pupils opened an invitation to parents and well-wishers to attend that weekend’s Christmas craft fair (2019) to support a cause close to many hearts.

They have accepted the Young Highland Apprentice Challenge to help raise funds for Highland Hospice. The fair at the school was to feature a variety of stalls, crafts, refreshments and live music. Pupils helped organise stalls.

Profits were to go to the hospice.
