Maryburgh gets ready for gala fun with pet show

MARYBURGH locals enjoyed a pet show yesterday as part of a week long series of events in preparation for its popular gala.

Fluffy friends came out in force, with the winner proudly sporting its red rosette.

Best in show went to Squishy the African dwarf hedgehog who is already putting his trophy to good use.

There were dogs, horses, guinea pigs and even a spider!

Attendees tucked into ice cream and hot dogs as a reward.

The gala day takes place on Saturday with a full day of fun.
