A UK perfume chain will celebrate the official opening of a new store in Inverness this weekend.

The Fragrance Shop, which has more than 200 stores across the UK, will celebrate the opening of its latest shop in the Eastgate Shopping Centre on Saturday.

To mark the occasion, it will give away goodie bags to the first 25 customers as well as offering discounts and free samples throughout the day.

Shopping centre manager Jackie Cuddy is delighted to be welcoming The Fragrance Shop to the centre's tenant line-up.

"There has been a gap left in the cosmetics and perfume market since Debenhams closed their store, so we are delighted to be able to offer our customers more choice," she said.

The Fragrance Shop’s regional retail director for the north, Steve Brant, said: "We are so proud to be expanding and opening stores in more locations across Scotland – with Eastgate Shopping Centre a core retail destination for shoppers in Inverness, we can’t wait to offer shoppers a dedicated place to shop for all things fragrance, especially in the run up to Mother’s Day this year!"
