Availability for the annual legal fundraiser is rapidly running out.

Organisers of the Will Aid campaign say solicitors have been exceptionally busy this year as more people look to get their affairs in order through the scheme which takes place every November.

Participating solicitors waive their fees for writing wills in return for an upfront voluntary donation to Will Aid, which is split between its nine partner charities.

Peter de Vena Franks, Will Aid campaign director, said: “Will Aid solicitors up and down the country have been incredibly busy this month and are working hard to meet the demand.

“Recent years have highlighted the fragility of life and the importance of having your affairs in order. Will Aid month is a great opportunity to tick an important job off your list while supporting nine charities working incredibly hard in the wake of the cost-of-living crisis.

“I am incredibly grateful to our participating solicitors for their support and would implore anyone yet to make a will to book an appointment today to avoid disappointment.”

The suggested donation is £100 for a single will or £180 for a pair of mirror wills, with solicitors across the UK raising more than £590,000 last year.

People interested in booking a Will Aid appointment before available slots run out can do so by visiting www.willaid.org.uk or by calling 0300 0300 013.
