WITH Christmas sure to look a bit different this year, we look back at what was going on in the festive season in years gone by.
In the trun-up to last Christmas, a bright idea to transform a Wester Ross attraction into an after-dark winter wonderland a hit with visitors.
An artistic collaboration involving lighting design and graphics students and botanists has seen the gardens at Inverewe transformed into an imaginary world inspired by the shoreline and reefs of Loch Ewe, onto which it looks out.
A spokeswoman for the National Trust for Scotland, which manages the garden, said at the time: “It has gone down really well, with lovely comments on social media.”
