Injured boy concern prompts police appeal to public in Alness

POLICE in Alness have issued an appeal following a night-time incident in they were contacted by a member of the public raising concern about a boy with an injury.

Police say they were contacted around 10.20pm by someone who passed on concern about the youngster, thought to be aged around 14. The boy left the area, near Coulhill Primary in Alness, shortly afterwards.

He is described as white, with brown hair shaved at the side and was wearing a white top and black jogging bottoms.

A statement from police said: "Given the hour, parents in the Alness and Invergordon area are asked to account for their children if they have not yet returned home."

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 4732 of 8 June.
