Great food does not have to travel far. Maintaining the freshness and quality of the ingredients is vital not only to ensure they are sourced in a sustainable, environmentally-friendly way, but also to boost the flavours and textures you want in an excellent dish.

“Local produce is a big part of Ullapool and The Seaforth. We connect with our local fish supplier on a weekly basis,” said Jody Keating, general manager at the popular Wester Ross restaurant.

“We take great pride in where we source our produce from, ensuring sustainability and quality for our customers,” he continued.

“We have a variety of Scottish and Seafood-inspired dishes cooked to perfection. We are proud to have a brilliant extended family of suppliers who fill our kitchens and stock our bars with amazing ingredients.”

From langoustines landed from Lochbroom’s waters to their famous Atlantic haddock, which is sustainably sourced from the North Atlantic seas and their Stornoway-sourced black pudding, the menu brings local flavours to the table.

The Seaforth’s head chef Bolton Chore said: "It's a pleasure working with our local fish supplier, we take great pride in our quality dishes."

The team also ensures that their beef is from sustainable and ethical farming sources in Scotland.

Situated in the heart of Ullapool, the Seaforth has great views of the shorefront and harbour, making for a great place to stop and enjoy a mouth-watering menu as well as live music, whisky events, and a perfectly paired wine list.

When preparing a menu at The Seaforth, the main focus is to highlight the locally sourced produce and Scottish favourites. Here, you will be able to enjoy fresh oysters, Cullen Skink, pan seared Scottish salmon and mussels as well as their staple fish and chips among other mouth-watering delicacies.
