Northern Women’s Bowling League 50th anniversary celebrated at Invergordon Bowling Club

A HALF century anniversary was celebrated in style at Invergordon.

The Northern Women’s Bowling League 50th anniversary was celebrated at Invergordon Bowling Club.

Approximately 50 past and present lady bowlers from clubs around the Ross-shire attended the ‘Picnic at the Green’.

Activist Fiona Graham said: "We had a very enjoyable fun game of bowls followed by our picnic box afternoon tea and refreshments.

"The Women's League is most enjoyable and any interested lady should contact their local bowling club for further information."

The bowling clubs represented are: St Duthus, Tain; Milton; Invergordon; Ardross Alness; Dingwall; Conon/Maryburgh; Muir of Ord; Beauly; Cromarty and Fortrose.

Ms Graham added: "All bowling clubs in Ross-shire are keen to encourage and welcome folk of all ages to take up this enjoyable sport."
