Northern lights give stunning display over Black Isle and Wester Ross skies

Northern lights danced across the sky last night (March 3) and our readers have sent in their best pictures of the aurora borealis.

Katy Booth from Wester Ross sent in her picture of the northern lights seen over the Summer Isles, from West Terrace in Ullapool.

Garry Mackay captured this photograph of the aurora borealis over Cromarty. Garry said he has seen the northern lights many times, and often pops out to try and see them if he gets an alert.
