No further deaths from coronavirus have been registered in the Highlands over the past seven days.

That means the current death toll in the NHS Highland area remains at 114 for a second week in a row, with the death toll in the smaller Highland Council area also unchanged at 50.

Each Wednesday the National Records of Scotland (NRS) issues numbers of cases where Covid-19 has been mentioned on a death certificate.

Scotland as a whole has seen a rise in the total number of Covid-19 deaths of 17 in the past week, bringing the total to 4173.

This is a lower rate of increase than the previous week however, making it the tenth week in a row that the death rate has fallen.
