Figures show no new confirmed coronavirus cases in Highlands

There have been no additional confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Highlands in the past 24 hours, new figures have shown.

The total recorded by NHS Highlands remained at 373. The number of people being treated in hospital with confirmed Covid-19 increased to six, while the number of people in intensive care is still fewer than five.

Some 27 people have tested positive across the Scotland in the last 24 hours, taking the national total to 18,104.

And 2470 people who tested positive have died across the country since the outbreak began – an increase of six on the same point yesterday.

Elsewhere in the north, NHS Grampian also recorded no additional new case, keeping its tally at 1410. Its hospitals were treating 48 people for the disease, with fewer than five receiving treatment in intensive care.
