THE Highlands have gone a fourth day without any freshly-confirmed cases of Covid-19.

The Scottish Government's daily coronavirus figures update has kept NHS Highland's overall tally of positive tests at 373.

It came as only 14 new positive tests for Covid-19 were recorded across Scotland as a whole.

There were also no further fatalities among those who have tested positive. There have been 2472 deaths among those who tested positive since the outbreak first began.

Nationally, there was a minor fall in the number of people in hospital with confirmed Covid-19, which fell by three to 515 last night. In NHS Highland, the number of hospital cases remained flat at seven.

Elsewhere across the north of Scotland, there were no further positive tests for Covid-19 in Orkney, Shetland, the Outer Hebrides, NHS Grampian or NHS Tayside.

The 14 new cases across Scotland have taken the country's overall total of confirmed cases to 18,170 since the Covid-19 pandemic began.
