Fèis Rois and Creative Scotland Strengthening Youth Music Fund have teamed up to create a new youth group, Highland Music Influencers.
It was launched by the Highland Youth Music Forum (HYMF), which is a project bringing together organisations and individuals to provide opportunities to young people in music.
The influencers will take over the HYMF twitter to showcase local events and take part in leadership, marketing and workshop training in preparation for organising and running a youth music conference in November.
HYMF was set up in 2012 and has and has participated in events, talks and conferences.
Fèis Rois education manager, Rachael Duff, said: “We are so excited to be supporting Highland young people to create a music conference which will be entirely youth led!
"It will be an opportunity for young musicians to influence and inspire those delivering youth music projects and lessons, and way to enrich the future of music education in Highland.”
High Life Highland head of Music Development, Norman Bolton, commented: “Young people are the future of music in Highland and beyond.
"As an organisation, we offer training and support in a huge variety of ways, but by offering the opportunity to lead and shape an event of this nature will allow informed discussion which can hopefully create even more relevant experiences being offered."
Young people are invited to attend an informal online chat on March 3 at 4:30pm to discuss the project.
