The Highland Hospice has launched Ness Factor 2022 and applications are now open.

One winner will receive a grand prize of a performance slot at Belladrum 2023.

The winner is chosen from a combination of judges scoring, audience votes and your fundraising total.

Nine men and women are needed to sing their hearts out in a bid to win.

The contestants are given singing lessons in the months before the big performance which will take place at the Drumossie Hotel on November 12.

Performers will face an audience of 300 guests and a panel of judges.

The much loved competition is making a grand return this year after a two year break due to covid restrictions.

Last time the event took place it raised a whopping £68,000 for the charity.

Organiser Lornagh Siegel has planned the last five Ness Factor events.

She said: “Every single charity has suffered greatly during the pandemic and our support for them is needed more than ever. I am incredibly excited to create another amazing Ness Factor for the Highland Hospice and raise much needed funds.”

The Hospice will celebrate 35 years of providing care this year, and will mark the milestone at the special occasion.

There will be a special address to the audience along with guest performances and an impressive Grand Auction.

Contestants must have no professional singing experience and be able to commit to training and fundraising.

Applications close on June 5 at midnight.
