'Multi-vehicle crash' closes A9 in both directions, says Traffic Scotland

The A9 is closed in both directions after a "multi-vehicle" crash at the House of Bruar near Blair Atholl, Traffic Scotland has warned.

Motorists have been advised to "approach with care and use alternative routes" following the collision, which Traffic Scotland reported at 2.20pm.

Traffic is said to be building in the area.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said it was called to the scene at 1.52pm, and that three vehicles were involved in the collision.

They added that their crews were not required as "all persons were released from the vehicles prior to their arrival."

However, there was no immediate word on the type of vehicles involved in the crash, or if there had been injuries.
