A Muir of Ord woman had sentence deferred for good behaviour for six months yesterday after admitting causing a disturbance in Inverness.

Amy Fraser (19) of Tarradale Gardens was in the city centre in the early hours of August 4 last year when police warned her about shouting. She then began shouting and swearing at the officers, struggling with one who was struck in the groin.

Defence solicitor John MacColl said: "It is the old story of too much drink and disinhibited."

Fraser, who admitted threatening behaviour, will return for sentence to Inverness Sheriff Court on December 17.
