Muir of Ord care home residents ‘delighted’ to spend time with tots
Muir of Ord care home’s first baby group brought “energy and laughter” into the air, in bid to “bridge generational gap”.
The first Urray House parent and toddler event saw a great turnout, with care home residents “absolutely delighted to interact with the young visitors”. With an aim to bridge generational gaps between the young and the elderly, the group is set to become a regular event.
Donald Morrison of Parklands Care Homes said: “We were absolutely delighted with the attendance of our first parent and toddler event at Urray House. We had a total of 20 adorable babies and toddlers, the energy and laughter filled the air, creating beautiful memories and bridging the generational gap.
“Our residents at Urray House were absolutely delighted to interact with our young visitors and many of the residents enjoyed cuddles with the babies. The youngest in attendance was 4 weeks old and the oldest resident was 95, so it was a truly intergenerational event.
Joe Greiner, manager of Urray House said: “The event was a huge success and the feedback from all who attended has been extremely positive.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the amazing parents who supported this event. Their presence and enthusiasm made this gathering truly special and unforgettable. It's their support that makes the community thrive, and we are immensely grateful.
“We also welcome parents to get in touch via Facebook with any suggestions on future meetings as I feel that it is important to have the Parents influence how the events run and what we incorporate into each session.
“Let's continue this beautiful journey together, nurturing our little ones with love and care.”
The next session is on Tuesday April 20, from 2–3.30pm
