Tributes to 'much loved' Highland taxi driver Brian Reid who is honoured by city centre operators with fundraiser for Help for Heroes

Taxi companies in the Highland capital have come together to pay tribute to one of their own.
Announcing the death of taxi driver Brian Reid, a veteran of the Scots Guards, the group described him as much-loved and respected.
Taxi companies Inverness City Taxis and Inverness Taxis have now set up a fundraiser in aid of Help for Heroes.
A spokesman said: "Sad news this morning as a much-loved and respected taxi driver in Inverness has passed away.
"Brian Reid was a long time member of the taxi community and worked as a driver and operator over many years.
"He was respected by all, and was a true gentleman. Brian was a veteran who served in the Scots Guards for 11 Years. He had a totally wicked sense of humour.
"Brian will be missed by so many drivers, operators and customers in Inverness, and on his behalf ourselves and Inverness Taxis who Brian also worked for are teaming up to promote his much loved charity Help For Heroes.
"All our thoughts and love are with Brian's family."
Commenting on the post, Debbie MacGill said: "Heartbreaking, Brian you were a true Saint, went above and beyond. Thoughts are with your family, friends and colleagues at the sad time."
Caroline Sutherland said: "This man made me laugh so much- loved his cheeky sense o' humour, gonna be so missed by everyone- RIP Brian. Condolences to all his family."
Inverness Taxis (IT) added: "We are all very sad at IT this week , one of our team sadly passed away."
