UPDATE: Motorcyclist taken to hospital after collision on A835 near Conon Bridge in Ross-shire

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital for treatment after a two-vehicle collision in Ross-shire this evening.

The accident happened on the A835 near the Conon junction.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.10pm we were called to a report of a crash involving a car and a motorcycle.

"A 52-year-old man, the rider of the motorcycle, has been taken to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness for treatment.

"The driver of the car was not injured.

"The road reopened around 7.20pm.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
