A MOBILE post office service is set to visit an Easter Ross community for the first time this week.

It will be at the Ardross Community Hall car park from 11am to 11.30am on Tuesday.

The vehicle has an electronic tailgate for those that need easy access.

The Ardross Community Hall team posted: "A wide range of services will be available."

The new service was announced earlier this month.

The specially commissioned van will serve Evanton, Ardross, Rosehall, Munlochy, Glenmoriston, Dochgarroch, Dores, Farr, Dalneigh and Hilton.

At the time, David Duff, Post Office network provision lead, said: “We are delighted to be introducing a brand-new mobile Post Office to serve these 10 communities, restoring Post Office service to these communities.

"We thank the postmaster for Dingwall for operating these mobile post offices as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.”
