THE family of an Easter Ross man posted missing more than a fortnight ago has thanked well-wishers for their continued support.

Shaun Banner (34) was last seen near Invergordon railway station after midnight on Saturday, April 23.

Extensive searches and repeated appeals have to date not been successful despite an outpouring of goodwill and the support of hundreds of people volunteering for searches across a widening area.

A fundraising appeal to help maintain the search was also launched this week and is being well supported.

Today his family again voiced thanks. His brother Alan posted: "We are still working on stuff behind the scenes. Please continue checking shorelines and beaches where possible.

"Huge thank you to Bart Lafere from Highland Diving and his crew Anson Macleod and Vicky Millar who were out searching the waters at Nigg today for us.

"Thank you also to David McHendry and Pauline Munro for your help with the transport of our Pioneer Boat. Much appreciated."

Shaun is described as 5ft 7in, of slim build, with short brown hair, and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing green and brown Crofter work trousers, a grey Rogue Attitude puffer style jacket, blue RSE work top and grey and purple and blue Nike Air Max trainers.

Anyone with information can pass it to the police via 101 quoting incident 2300 of April 23.
