POLICE have issued a fresh appeal for help tracing a missing man spotted in two Ross-shire communities.

Michael Webster has been reported missing from his home in Ayr.

Enquiries have established that the 52-year-old was in the Dingwall area on Wednesday, February, 5 and travelled to Ullapool later the same day.

He has been seen on a CCTV image in Ullapool.

It is believed that he may have travelled to Stornoway on the evening ferry.

He is described as being 6ft tall and of medium build with brown hair.

He is a keen walker and is known to camp out or sleep rough.

Officers are keen to establish that he is safe and well. Anyone who may have seen or had any contact with Michael at any time since he was last seen is asked to make contact.

A spokesman added: "If Michael himself sees this then please get in touch - we only to ensure you are safe and well."

Anyone with information as to Michael’s whereabouts should contact 101 and quote incident no: 2450 of 05/02/2020.
